Recognition
Perhaps something has been weighing on you for a while
You feel it in your body: a knot in your stomach, tight shoulders.
So much is going on at once that you feel overwhelmed.
You lie awake at night worrying.
You doubt yourself and find it hard to stand up for yourself.
Right now, you cannot see a way forward.
You want things to change, but you are not sure how.
You are certainly not alone. In my practice I regularly see people facing the same thing.
What you are experiencing does not define who you are. You have a problem; you are not the problem. And what you have, you can work on.
What you can come to me for
Stress, overload and burnout
When your body and mind cannot find rest.
Grief, loss and major life changes
When you have lost someone or something.
Insecurity, assertiveness and boundaries
When standing up for yourself is hard.
Relationships and communication
When contact with others feels strained.
Dilemmas, choices and life direction
When you do not know which way to go.
Perspective
How would you like to feel?
Grounded and confident. Happy and relaxed. Strong and light.
Just imagine it for a moment. You wake up and there is calm in your body and in your mind. You say what you mean and make choices that suit you.
What do you notice in your body then? What is different? And what changes in your life?
Insight and a way forward
What is going on for you?
Sometimes you have physical symptoms for which no medical cause has been found. Sometimes you have not been feeling right for a while and cannot tell where it comes from. And sometimes, in a particular situation, something or someone affects you deeply. For many people, it then goes like this:
There is an unpleasant feeling inside
Then your thoughts join in
Then you react in ways you do not want to
Until you feel stuck and cannot find your way out on your own
Without that unpleasant feeling, everything would feel much lighter.
Together we look at what is happening and what you can do about it, both in your daily life and deep within yourself. Step by step, you find more room to breathe again. And that feels good, doesn’t it?
The support is short-term. Usually 1 to 10 sessions are needed, depending on what you would like help with.

Frequently asked questions
You may be wondering…
What if I do not know what to say?
That is perfectly fine. You can start with a feeling or a situation that is on your mind. During the intake we find the words and the direction together.
What if many things are going on at once?
Then we sort through it together and you choose where to begin. That alone often brings some calm.
How many sessions will I need?
The support is short-term: the aim is for you to be able to move forward again. Usually 1 to 10 sessions are needed, depending on your question. We agree on a suitable approach and review along the way what helps and what still needs attention.
What is the difference between a counsellor and a psychologist?
A psychologist diagnoses and treats mental health disorders, often through a GP referral and sometimes with a waiting time. As a counsellor, I support you with stress, feeling stuck, grief and life questions. You do not need a referral or a prior diagnosis and can usually be seen quickly. Has a diagnosis already been made? Then, with your consent, I will contact your practitioner so that the support is well aligned. Unsure what suits you? We will discuss this during the intake. Where needed, I will refer you.
Are online, evening or weekend sessions possible?
Yes. Sessions can also take place online, if that suits your question and the approach. Evening and weekend appointments are also possible. An evening session costs €140 and a weekend session €150.
The first step
Deciding that you want things to change is the first step
During the intake we discuss what you are experiencing, what you have already tried and how you would like to feel. You can ask questions and discover how our working relationship feels.
The intake is your first session straight away. The aim is that by the end you understand better what is going on and have a firmer grip on it. And that you know how you can tackle, resolve or change it. We then decide together on any further sessions.
One-off intake: 90 minutes · €172.50
Every session after that: 60 minutes · €115
